You found the site. You booked the month. Then the first question hits: where does the mail go? A paycheck, a new debit card, a part for the water pump. Mail is one of the small things that make RV living feel settled or stressful. Here is how guests at our monthly RV sites in Eastland and at parks across Texas usually handle it.
Quick answer: You can often get mail at an RV park, but it depends on the park, so ask before you ship anything. If the park will not hold mail, use USPS General Delivery at the local post office, which is free and holds each piece up to 30 days, rent a PO Box, or use a mail forwarding service with a fixed address.

An RV park mailing address is any address a long-stay guest uses to receive mail while living in a park: the park's own street address with a site number, a post office address such as General Delivery or a PO Box, or an address from a mail forwarding service. Which one fits depends on how long you stay and how much mail you get.
There are five common choices. Most long-stay guests use two of them together: one fixed address for banks and records, and one local address for packages.
| Option | Cost | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Park address with site number | Ask the park | Stays of a month or more, if the park allows it | Office hours, package space, park policy |
| USPS General Delivery | $0 | Short stays, a few letters or USPS packages | Each piece held no more than 30 days; pickup with ID |
| PO Box in town | Varies by box size and post office | Stays of several months | Counter hours for packages; size limits |
| Mail forwarding service | About $110 to $175 a year at Escapees, plus membership | Full timers who move often | Forwarding postage and a few days of delay |
| USPS temporary change of address | Small online fee | Guests who still own a house | Not every item forwards; set an end date |

Sometimes. It is the first thing to ask. Some parks take letters and packages at the office and hand them out. Some hold packages only. Some send everything to the post office because the office is small or not staffed every day.
Our street address is 10505 Interstate 20, Eastland, TX 76448. Before you ship anything there, call the office at (254) 629-1197 and ask how mail and packages work for your site. We would rather tell you up front than have a box sit somewhere it should not.
If a park does take mail, put your full name and your site number on every label. A package with a name and no site number is the one that gets lost.
General Delivery is free. It is a USPS service for people without a fixed address. You pick up mail at the post office counter and show ID. Each piece is held no more than 30 days.
Address it like this:
Your Name
General Delivery
Eastland, TX 76448
Call the post office first and ask if it accepts General Delivery, how many packages it will hold and when the counter is open. Small town offices can have short hours. You can find the local office with the USPS location finder. Private carrier packages from UPS or FedEx may not be accepted, so confirm that too.
When you stay several months. A PO Box gives you a fixed local address, a locked box and access during lobby hours. Price depends on the box size and the post office, so check USPS PO Boxes for the Eastland office.
A PO Box is a good fit for a crew member on a six month job or a winter Texan who comes back every year. Ask the post office whether it offers a street-style address for the box, because some senders will not ship to a PO Box.
If you move more than twice a year, usually yes. A mail forwarding service gives you one address that never changes. Banks, insurance and the IRS write to that address. The service then forwards your mail to wherever you are.
Escapees, based in Livingston, Texas, is one of the best known. Its rates page lists plans at about $110 to $175 a year for members, read October 10, 2026. Other services exist in Texas, South Dakota and Florida. Compare forwarding fees, scanning options and how fast they ship.
Many full timers also use that address to set up Texas residency. That touches driver licenses, vehicle registration and voting, which are state rules and not park rules. We cover the basics in Texas domicile for permanent RV living. For your own case, check with Texas DPS, your county tax office or a professional.
Plan these separately from letters. Packages are where most mail problems happen.
Abilene is about 50 minutes west if you need a bigger shipping counter or a store pickup.
Three small steps save a lot of stress.
The rest of the list, from surge protector to sewer support, is in the monthly RV site move-in checklist. If you also need to sort internet before you arrive, see internet for RV living in rural Texas.
Sometimes. Some parks accept mail and packages at the office, some only hold packages, and some send everything to the post office. Ask the park before you ship anything. Many long-stay guests use USPS General Delivery, a PO Box in town or a mail forwarding service instead.
General Delivery is a free USPS service for people without a fixed address. Mail is addressed to your name, General Delivery, and the town and ZIP of the post office. You pick it up at the counter with ID. Each piece is held no more than 30 days, and the local postmaster sets the details.
That is a legal question with rules set by the state, not the park. Many full-time RVers use a Texas mail forwarding address for their records. Check the Texas DPS and your county tax office for current requirements, and talk to a professional if your situation is unusual.
Yes, that is what most of them are built for. Escapees, based in Livingston, Texas, lists mail service plans at about $110 to $175 a year for members, read October 2026. The service gives you a fixed address, then forwards your mail to wherever you are, including a General Delivery address.
Ask the park first. If the office cannot hold packages, ship USPS items to General Delivery or a PO Box, and use a carrier pickup location for UPS or FedEx. Post offices may not accept every private carrier package, so confirm with the local office.
A back-in site is $500 a month and a pull-through is $650, plus electric metered at your site at 17 cents per kWh. The deposit is $200 and refundable, and terms are month to month. Call (254) 629-1197 and ask how mail and packages work for your site when you book.
That is the setup that works for most long-stay guests. Keep a fixed address for records, pick a local address for packages, and ask the park before you ship. Inez Spring has more than 70 full-hookup sites one minute off I-20 at Exit 343, with monthly sites at $500 back-in or $650 pull-through plus your own metered electric at 17 cents per kWh.
